Edge Computing and Resilient IoT
Before focusing on privacy and security, my research built IoT systems that keep working when networks fail. That focus on resilience still shapes how I approach security.
- SCALE and SCALE2: low-cost IoT sensing and alerting for community safety (IEEE Communications Magazine 2015, SMARTCOMP 2016).
- RIDE: middleware that keeps IoT data flowing through failures by combining software-defined networking with edge cloud resources (IoTDI 2018).
- BatchIT: adaptive batching for IoT workloads at the edge (NOMS 2024).
