Privacy-Preserving Systems for Public Health and Disaster Response
These projects showed that health-data utility and rigorous privacy protection can coexist in the same system, a principle that later guided my work protecting regulated healthcare data.

An NSF Civic Innovation Challenge project that lets senior-care facilities securely share residents’ critical care information with first responders during disasters, addressing the disproportionate risk older adults face in emergencies. CareDEX was tested in a live disaster drill at a California senior living community.
